Kerstin Ergenzinger studied at the University of Arts Berlin, at the Chelsea College of Art and Design London and at the post graduation program of the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln. Her experimental, often installative, extensive works, are centered on the interface of digital and analogue media. She explores the sensual and philosophical relation of man and place.
Ergenzingers works are shown internationally in group and individual exhibitions, including the Kunsthalle Lund, Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur, Kunsthalle Malmö, Digital Arts Center Taipei, HMKV Hartware MedienKunstVerein Dortmund, EDITH-RUSS-HAUS für Medienkunst Oldenburg or Kunsthalle Budapest. In 2014 she was part of the Biennale for digital art in Montreal with two individual exhibitions. To be followed by a.o. singular presentations in the Kunstmuseum Bonn as well as in the Schering Stiftung Berlin.
Ergenzinger received various awards and sponsorships, a.o. the advancement award of Nordrhein-Westfalen for young artists in media art, a work scholarship by the Stiftung Kunstfond, a international scholarship of the state chancellery NRW in Boston Cambridge or a studio scholarship of the art association of Cologne. In 2012 she received a scholarship of the foundation lower saxony for media art and the advancement award by the minister of cultural affairs of saxony. In 2013 her work Rotes Rauschen won the 1. price of the VIDA 15 - Art and Artificial Life International Awards der FundaciónTelefónica. (www.nodegree.de)
