Josefine Wosahlo received her dance and dance pedagogy education mainly at Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden. Moreover scholarships enabled stays in the USA at the American Dance Festival and the Netherlands at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie/Codarts, where she intensified her dance studies. Since her graduation in 2010 Josefine works as a freelance dancer.
Artistic production management as well as choreographic and dramaturgic assistance are also belonging to her working field since 2012. She supports and manages independent (dance) projects and formats in various contexts ever since.
2012 - 2014 she moreover worked together with directors like Andrea K. Schlehwein and Kay Link as assistant director for dance and music theatre pieces.
In 2013 she established the dance company the guts company together with the choreographer Johanna Roggan in Dresden to realize own productions. With the Societaetstheater Dresden as a co-producer the guts company was funded within the Doppelpass Fund of the Federal Cultural Foundation for the seasons 2015/16 and 2016/17. The company was awarded the Ursula-Cain-Advancement Award 2017, which is part of the Saxon Dance Award.
Since 2016 Josefine is, as treasurer, as well a member of the board of the Villa Wigman für TANZ e.V., which is taking a stand for preserving the former working space of the dancer Mary Wigman, who initiated the New German Dance.
Besides her work as a producer for performing arts and dancer she is working as certified Gyrokinesis teacher since 2017.
