Romy Schwarzer, dancer and choreographer. She studied dance at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln/Germany. Afterwards she did a year of study abroad in New York, enabled through a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service. In Spring 2015 she got a working scholarship from the Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen and in 2017 she finished the master program Choreography at HZT Berlin.
Since 2007 she worked as a freelance dancer for different choreographers and theaters, such as Stephanie Thiersch / MOUVOIR, Nick Hobbs / Theater Bonn, Golde Grunske, Anna Till, Johanna Roggan / the guts company, Ursula Nill and Julia Hölscher / Staatsschauspiel Dresden. In 2007 she also has started working on her own creations, which where shown on Festivals like TANZhautnah Köln, Made in Köln, Het Theaterfestival Antwerpen, TanzArt ostwest Gießen, Now & Next / tanzhaus nrw Düsseldorf, HELLERAU - Europäisches Zentrum der Künste Dresden, Uferstudios Berlin, Kiisu Theater Outokumpu/Finland. Last she worked as an assistant for Jo Fabia at the Staatstheater Cottbus. Since 2020 Romy Schwarzer is part of the artistic team of the Company
