Cindy Hammer, born in 1989 in Germany, began to study dance at Palucca
Hochschule für Tanz in Dresden in the year 2000. Graduated in 2010 with diploma. During her studies she worked with choreographers like Amanda K. Miller, Rosie Herrera, Yeona Yu, Emily Molnar and Yuval Pick.
In 2009 she received the Arnhold-Esther-Seligmann Scholarship, which took her to the American Dance Festival in Durham North Carolina.
In 2010 she founded together with the musician Siggy Blooms the artist collective Go Plastic which was creating stage productions, club performances and short films. In 2012 she formed out of the Go Plastic collective the dance theatre company Go Plastic Dance Theatre which is producing various stage and off-stage creations. Moreover she worked in cooperation with HELLERAU - European Center for the Arts Dresden, LOFFT.Leipzig, projekttheater Dresden, TENZA-Schmiede, Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden and is a member of TanzNetzDresden.
Cindy danced in freelance productions with artists like Johanna Roggan (the guts company), Miriam Welk (wilde pferde), Valentina Cabro, shot AG, Rosie Herrera and Avatara Ayuso.
In 2013 she was awarded the ARRAS Award which included the presentation of her piece WANKUKU.
Cindy performed as a dancer and also her own pieces in cities like New York City,
Montreal, Paris, Amsterdam, Skopje, Berlin, Stuttgart, Bielefeld, Leipzig und Dresden.
