Caroline Beach (born 1990 Dallas, Texas) is a performer and choreographer based in Dresden, Germany. She worked with the Semperoper Dresden from 2009-2017 under the direction of Aaron S. Watkin, where she performed the works of Aaron S. Watkin, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Stijn Celis, Joseph Hernandez, David Dawson, and Alexander Ekman among others. She created two works for the Semperoper Junge Choreografen program (Same as it Ever Was, The Holding Light) after which she was asked to make a piece for the Semperoper on the Move in the Gläserne Manufaktur Dresden (AUM-Home). She created a short work with students of the American Dance Festival as a part of the International Choreographers Residency in 2017 (Orangez 2 US).
In addition she has created several performance works for off-spaces, including the C. Rockefeller for the Performance Arts (Squeeze the Lemon), Kukulida e.V. (Little Darling), Hole of Fame Dresden (10x10), and STORE Galerie in collaboration with Joseph Hernandez (Derelict Femme). She has created music for Joseph Hernandez’s production of SARO and for Clean Me by Go Plastic Dance Company.
She is currently pursuing her Masters in Choreography from the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz, a guest artist at the Semperoper Ballett Dresden, and a member of the Go Plastic dance company.
