Kristin Mente, born 1987, is freelance dancer and choreographer and since 2016 an active member of the TanzNetzDresden. In 1997 she started studying at the Palucca University of Dance and concluded in 2007 with a degree in stage dancing. She received the Palucca scholarship for outstanding achievements.
In 2007 she gets an engagement at the Tanztheater Bielefeld (Theater Bielefeld) (main choreographer/management: Gregor Zöllig). At her time in Bielefeld, she also worked together with several guest choreographers, as Guilherme Bothelo and Simone Sandroni.
Kristin Mente choreographed the duet Mehr als man glaubt (More than you believe) for Tanzspotting IV. In 2012 she leaves Theater Bielefeld to work as a freelance dancer and choreographer. In 2013 she develops the piece Outside the Box with the author Maja das Gupta. Since the summer of 2015, she has returned to Dresden and lives and works there again.
Among other projects, she is a guest dancer in several operas of the Semperoper Dresden. In 2016 she choreographed the solo dance piece Gedankenkarussell (carousel of thoughts) in the framework of the Tanzwoche Dresden (Dresden Dance week). Furthermore, she danced in projects of Soul City Company and Theater Couturier in 2016.
