Chiara Detscher was born in 1994 in Heidelberg. She studied dance at the Palucca School in Dresden and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts. During her studies, she learned a broad variety of choreographies from different choreographers like Ohad Naharin, Marina Mascarell, Jirí Kylián or Steffen Fuchs. An engagement as an apprentice dancer at Centre Chorégraphique National de Rillieux-la- Pape‘/Lyon let her gain insights into the company under the direction of Yuval Pick in early 2016.
In April 2016 she got the opportunity to show her choreography Golden Hours at the 25. Tanzwoche (dance Festival in Dresden) and in 2017 her choreography ...heute denke ich wie der Wind... at HELLERAU - Europäisches Zentrum der Künste. In Dresden, she already worked with the Werkstattorchester Dresden e.V., the Go Plastic Company, the guts company and the JuWi Dance Company.
