Benjamin Schindler is a graduate of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. He completed his studies in media arts in 2012 with a diploma. Since 2010 he has designed virtual stage designs for opera, concerts and dance, among others for Annette Jahns, Johanna Borchert, Almut Kühne, Demian Kappenstein and Cindy Hammer. With his artists collective shortfilmlivemusic he has been developing film concerts on contemporary political topics since 2005 that are performed internationally. The latest film concert Survival Strategies for Cold Countries on the arrival was premiered in December 2017 in the European Center for the Arts Dresden Hellerau. In 2014 he received a scholarship from the Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen. As a director and cinematographer, he has made artistic films in India, the Gambia, England, Spain and the United States. In November 2017, the documentary film El Séptimo Sentido by Silke Abendschein about the choreographer and dancer Avatâra Ayuso celebrated its cinema premiere. A documentary feature about the loss of reality in the United States will premiere in 2018 in cooperation with WDR/arte. He bundles his work in the production company zeitgebilde. He has been associated with the guts company since 2014, most recently through his work on the stage design for wohin wir gehen by Johanna Roggan in December 2017.
