Nora Otte was born in Görlitz/ Germany. She studied Performing Arts ("Szenische Künste") at the University in Hildesheim. While she was studying she worked as a performer at the Theatre fensterzurstadt in Hannover and went abroad to Moscow/ Russia for half a year to work at the theatre PRAKTIKA and Studio Masterskaja P. Fomenko. After finishing her studies she worked at Staatsschauspiel Dresden as an assistent director. Since 2016 she is freelancing and works as a director and perfomer for theatre and film as well as a dramaturge for dance.
Since 2006 she is taking part in the intense-butoh-workshops of Tadashi Endo/ Göttingen. 2017 she worked as a butoh-performer in HADÔ by Tadashi Endo at Junges Theater/ Göttingen and 2018 in Tristan und Isolde (Wagner) directed by S. Langridge together with Tadashi Endo at the opera Hannover.
