Kati Thiel is a project manager and production manager. She studied theater studies with a focus on dance studies at the University of Leipzig and organized the competition Das beste deutsche Tanzsolo. She then became the manager of euro-scene Leipzig. As head of venue coordination for the Theater der Welt festival, her path led her to Halle an der Saale. Afterwards she became project manager for the German-Palestinian cooperation project MEINLANDBILADI between Schauspiel Leipzig and The Freedom Theatre Jenin, Westbank. In Berlin she was responsible for the festival Tanz im August as production manager.

Since January 2021 she is the company manager for the guts company.
