Born in Hamburg on September 18, 1985, Anna Fingerhuth began her dance training at the Ballettzentrum Hamburg John Neumeier at the age of seven.
She graduated from high school in 2004 and studied stage dance at the Palucca University of Dance and French and Spanish language, literature and cultural studies at the Technical University in Dresden before working as a freelance artist from 2007 to 2010 with artists and choreographers such as Golde Grunske, Julia Nesterova, Marita Matzk, René Rothe and Henriette Pedersen. In 2009 she became a dancer in the company of the Academia Nazionale Di Danza LaCompagnia in Rome. Here she worked with artists such as Ismail Ivo, Robyn Orlin, Jacopo Godani and Wayne McGregor. As part of her engagement at the Staatstheater Tanz Braunschweig, she had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Jan Pusch, Kathrín Hall, Jo Strömgren, Ania Aristarkhova, Antje Pfundner and Roy Assaf. She has created freelance projects in Braunschweig and elsewhere with Christian Weiß / krügerXweiss, Theater Combinale Lübeck, Cristiana Morganti and Judith Rosmair, among others. She is currently working on the integration of her body knowledge in the context of psychology.
