Sophie Hauenherm is a freelance dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. She completed her training at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden. Six months before completing her studies, she was diagnosed with incomplete paraplegia. Despite this, she decided to pursue a life with dance and choreographed her bachelor's thesis in a wheelchair in 2018. She received her first engagement at Theater Pforzheim in "Perfekt Unperfekt". Since then, she has worked as an artist throughout Germany, including with "DieTanzkompanie" under Gregory Darcy and in "Echogedicht", a production by Tiago Manquinho. She led the inclusive dance workshop "Triple A" at the Landesbühnen Sachsen, where she performed in "The Nutcracker" and "Difference" by Wagner Moreira.

She is also studying psychology at the Technical University of Dresden. As an artist, she wants to convey the value-free nature of dance and break down the stigmatization of physical and mental limitations.
