Jakob Blazejczak is a scenographer based in Berlin. After training as a stonemason and stone sculptor in South Tyrol, he completed a Bachelor in Product Design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, and deepened his artistic understanding with a Master in Scenography at the Technical University of Berlin in 2018.

In his role as set designer, scenographer and visual artist, Jakob has collaborated with various choreographers, including Annelie Andre on the performances "LAWS OF POWER" (2018) "META" (2019) and Archives of Collapse" (2022). 

In 2022, he realized the stage design for "MACHT#3 - Hoffnung" for The Guts Company with performance at Festspielhaus Hellerau (Dresden). In 2017, Romy Schwarzer created the performance "Alchemy" together with him and a circus artist as part of the Bauhaus Festival in Dessau.

In 2023, he designed the scenography for the dance performance "melt" by Olivia Hild at the WUK performing arts in Vienna, with a guest performance at BRUX / Freies Theater Innsbruck.

His works are characterized by a deep and sensual engagement with materials. He creates dense atmospheres that set spaces and bodies in motion and stimulate cognitive processes in the audience.
